   Environmental Health staff track the construction of new and abandoned wells through the review of well logs submitted by area well drillers.  These logs are required to be submitted within 60 days of drilling any new well.  Information is reviewed for accuracy by cross-referencing with well permits, and occasionally, a site visit.  Required well abandonment of old wells is also monitored.  Logs are to be reviewed by this department within 30 days of submission and then sent to the State.
